Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)

AMS is an Aviation Security Identification Card issuing body. This means we are able to process and issue all three types of ASIC to those staff requiring Australian or airport-specific ASICs (including Red, White and Grey ASICs).

Applying for an ASIC

Original identity documents need to be presented in-person to the AMS ASIC issuing staff.
You require a number of identity documents to cover each of the categories below.  Please ensure you bring one (1) document for each category. 

• Category A: Start of your identity in Australia (e.g. Birth certificate or Passport with visa)
• Category B: Your identity linked by photo, address and signature (e.g. Driver Licence, Passport)
• Category C: Evidence of your identity within the community (e.g. Medicare card, debit card, marriage certificate)
• Category D: Evidence of current residential address – (e.g. utility bill or rates notice)

Note: Category D document is only required if categories A, B or C above do not have your current address.
