Riverina, WA

Riverina Airport is an uncertified aerodrome located in the Goldfields region of Western Australia, providing aviation access in support of Ora Banda Mining’s operations.

The aerodrome services charter aircraft movements associated with mining activities and is operated in a remote operating environment where reliability and procedural compliance are critical.

Initially providing engineering support to upgrade the runway, AMS now provides operational and management support at Riverina Airport, ensuring safe day‑to‑day operations in accordance with the requirements applicable to uncertified aerodromes.

Key duties undertaken by AMS at Riverina Airport include:
  • Daily runway serviceability inspections
  • Aerodrome Management and Compliance
  • Management of operational procedures appropriate to an uncertified aerodrome
  • Oversight of safety systems and local operational documentation
  • Ground handling and facilities support services
  • Oversight of aerodrome maintenance activities
AMS’ involvement at Riverina Airport supports the safe and efficient movement of personnel servicing Ora Banda Mining’s Goldfields operations.

AMS Life at Riverina

OBM ESO Duncan McDonald took this great photo of our ARO Jodi Demasson on the first flight to officially land on the new runway to support the OBM operations on Monday 11 May 2026.

Jodi caught a glimpse of a great sunrise at Riverina. One of the benefits of #AMSLife is the amazing sunrises and sunsets we get to see.
