Description

The new “See-Saw” Windsock pole makes fitting the Windsock much simpler.  Undo one bolt and gently lower the spindle to fit, or replace the Windsock

  • Windsock

    Our Windsocks are manufactured in Western Australia from UV Treated thread to withstand the the effects of operating an airport in some of the harshest conditions in the world.

    At 271gsm, the socks are purposely constructed to meet the requirements of MOS139 in both fabric density and sock size. Each of our Windsocks are equipped with a 900mm opening diameter and four eyelets through which fasteners can be used to attach the sock to the swivel assembly.

    These Windsocks come complete with an 18 month guarantee with respect to the thread UV resistance and are built to resist mould ingress.

    • For Primary Wind Direction Indicators, a white windsock should be purchased.
    • For Secondary Illuminated Wind Direction Indicators, a white windsock should be used.
    • For Secondary Wind Direction Indicators that are not illuminated, a yellow windsock should be used.

    AMS recommends that windsocks installed in cyclonic areas be temporarily removed immediately prior to the passage of cyclones for maximum windsock longevity. Windsocks may be reinstalled upon ‘all clear’ conditions and upon inspecting and returning the aerodrome to operational condition.

    This wind indicator pole is sold complete with a swivel and is available in either a standard design or a cyclonic design. 9m in height.

    The unit is NATA certified, MOS139 compliant and looks absolutely brilliant at night with LED lighting installed.
