F2F ARO Refresher Course
About the course
Due to high demand, we now offer our ARO Refresher course as both an online option and a face-to-face classroom option.
Our F2F ARO Refresher course has been designed to help you stay current with recent industry changes and legislation updates. The intent of the course is to further build on the level of knowledge of Aerodrome Reporting Officers.
The Civil Aviation Safety Authority recommends that ARO/WSO staff conduct refresher training every 2-5 years (Advisory Circular AC 139.C-02 Aerodrome Personnel).
This course is not recommended for those that are new in the role of an ARO, or have had little/no exposure in the role since their initial course. This course has been designed for those currently working as an Aerodrome Reporting Officer and/or Works Safety Officer and want to maintain their industry currency.
For individuals that have not maintained their currency, we recommend our full Aerodrome Reporting Officer Skill Set course.
You are eligible to undertake the ARO Refresher if you can provide the following evidence:
- Evidence of completing an ARO course and/or refresher training within the last 5 years or the Certificate III in Aviation (Aerodrome Operations) in the last 5 years;
- Can demonstrate you have been undertaking the ARO role regularly for at least the last two years (we recommend sending in three (3) copies of serviceability inspection forms that you have completed over the 12 months as evidence).
- This evidence needs to be submitted with your enrolment.
Course Options & Duration
We offer our 3-day ARO Refresher classes a few times each year. Our industry experts/trainers make the course interactive and interesting for all participants, allowing plenty of time for valuable group discussions, questions and answers.
AMS can also come to your site (class size capped at 10 people) to deliver a hybrid ARO Refresher course. The course will be customised for your team and aerodrome, and specific training gap requirements.
Our ARO Refresher course is not nationally recognised. Upon successful completion of this course a Certificate of Participation will be awarded to participants.
Please click on the link below to register your place for the course. Please ensure you upload the evidence requirements (see above) so your enrolment can be processed without delay.
